Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse International Lighthouse Weekend - August 16/17 2008
The seventh International Lighthouse Weekend intends to raise the profile of lighthouses, lightvessels and other navigational aids, promoting our maritime heritage. Many lighthouses and places of associated interest will be open to the public, and there will be special events at lighthouses and lightvessels throughout the world. Many hundred radio operators throughout the world will be set up at lighthouse bases, communicating with each other. Other Lighthouses will open specially for this weekend.
Crookhaven Heads Crookhaven Heads
Shoalhaven Heads Council is reported to be considering options for the site and lighthouse at Crookhaven Heads near Nowra, NSW. The aim is to turn the headland and lighthouse into a major drawcard.

The lure of lighthouses is a passion for many people around the world. This is a nice report from the BBC on lighthouse "bagging". 
I'm not sure if I like that term, but take a look, and 'bag' a lighthouse this coming weekend..
